Edit things that aren’t editable in the game: DB Commander is a database utility. In simple usage for NBA Live, you can use it to edit .dbf files. This allows you to edit certain things that you’re not able to edit in the game, eg. Players’ name, years in the NBA, etc.

Directions:
1) Download 30 day free trial from DB Commander and follow direction to install it.
2) Open up DB commander
3) Go to file, open, left or right
4) Locate .dbf files that you would like to edit, eg. Players info by locating my documents/nba live 2004/saves/000/players.dbf

Refer to resources from right side bar of NLSC to determine what each category means. To save changes, just close DB commander. Changes will appear after you reload your save files in the game.
